Welcome to Universal Services and CONSIGN w/US!

Universal Services has over 25 years of moving experience in the Senior Move Management Industry. Universal Services provides a turnkey moving process that includes downsizing, packing, moving, unpacking, and now provides older adults the opportunity to sell their furniture and home furnishings. We have recently opened up our own consignment – resale shop, an idea that grew out of serving the specialized needs of older adults that are considering downsizing from a larger home into a smaller living environment. Rick and Migdalia Zanon, owners of Consign w/US, comment that, “When seniors are downsizing their home, they are going through a lot of stress and emotion. Having all of these services under one roof makes the process a lot easier for them and their families to manage.”

Consign W/US is located at N64 W24360 Main Street in the “Sussex on the Main” shopping center in Sussex. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am until 6:00pm. Closed on Sunday. Beautiful furnishings arrive at the consignment shop frequently! The phone number is 414-397-5987.

Universal Services has trademarked their approach to downsizing, organizing, packing, and coordinating a lifetime of possessions into a well organized move plan. This specialized process has led the National Association of Senior Move Managers to honor Universal Services as one of the recipients of the “2012 Circle of Service Award”. This award is in recognition for their “Service, Commitment, and Experience” in the senior moving industry. Our highly trained and caring staff bring a whole new level of compassion and expertise to the process of organizing, de-cluttering, and downsizing seniors when they move. This type of empathy and compassionate understanding is a great benefit to older adults as they deal with the emotional and physical needs of moving into a Senior Living Community or into a new apartment. Call us today for a complimentary home survey! This meeting will give you a better insight into the process of moving and prepare a move plan for you. One of our Senior Move Managers will help coordinate all of your concerns into a timeline and budget that will help ease some of the anxiety and stress that is normally felt when moving.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

We have over 25 years of moving experience and are very proud of our staff and commitment to exceeding the expectations of our seniors! We hope that you find our web site helpful and most of all, a resource to help guide you through the process of moving. It is our intention to lighten the emotional and physical load that seniors feel when they move, while at the same time providing you with a turnkey moving experience.”

Senior Talk

At Seniors Helping Seniors® Northern Waukesha County Supportive Care Services, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) Carol Ralian, Karl Ralian firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield, and surrounding areas.

Karl and Carol Ralian, owners of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care throughout Northern Waukesha County are childhood sweethearts who have dedicated their lives to giving to others. Throughout their life together they have focused a lot of their energy on the needs of their community. With the opening of Seniors Helping Seniors home care they are taking that spirit and inspiring others to do the same. Seniors Helping Seniors home care matches seniors who want to help with seniors who need a little help. This peer-to-peer assistance allows seniors in need to receive care from someone they can trust. At the same time, seniors who want to help can remain active in their community and oftentimes form strong friendships with the senior for whom they are providing care.

“Seniors Helping Senior care is our way of brightening the lives of others. It’s a dream come true for us to be able to bring joy into the lives of older adults and provide meaningful work for other seniors,” said Carol. “This is a truly beautiful way of offering support, bringing together people who have similar life experiences and values to support and nurture one another,” she continued. The senior providers who work with Karl and Carol offer many non-medical in-home care services including: Companionship Light housekeeping Laundry Meal preparation Grocery and personal shopping Overnight stays (24-hour care) Medication reminders Personal grooming Transportation Doctor’s appointments House maintenance Yard work Holiday decorating Provider couples Prior to starting Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care, Karl and Carol started the charity Worldwide Hunger Relief, which provides nutritionally complete meals to malnourished children in the US and around the world. So far more than five million children and families have been fed through their program. “We are extremely proud that Worldwide Hunger Relief has helped so many children in need,” said Karl. “We are just as excited to take our energy and put it towards caring for seniors in Northern Waukesha County.”

In 1990 Carol’s mother suffered a massive stroke leaving her paralyzed on her left side. During the next five years, Carol, her stepfather and sister attended to her daily needs. Providing care for her mother was challenging for her entire family, but it became clear to Carol that her mothers last years were more positive because she was able to stay at home. “Our goal with Seniors Helping Seniors home care is to be a support for families to turn to when their loved one needs that extra assistance,” said Carol. “By getting the help needed for day-to-day tasks, sons, daughters, husbands and wives can enjoy quality time with their aging loved one, rather than just have time to be a caregiver.”

Our Seniors Helping Seniors® Core Values

We match seniors who need a hand with mature, active women and men who have a passion for helping others. Seniors Helping Seniors® was founded in 1998 with two simple ideas:

Seniors can help each other age more happily and gracefully.
Seniors who give, and those who receive, benefit equally.

We Provide:

An experienced, reliable resource for seniors who want to stay in their own homes.
In-home care, companionship, and services from seniors who enjoy helping others.
Reasonable hourly rates for seniors who want care and companionship.
Reasonable hourly wages to seniors who want to provide these services.

About Our Founders

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care service was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom in order to realize Kiran’s personal mission of providing care for those who can’t care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years.

How We’ve Grown

From our roots in Pennsylvania, and our first match in 1998, Seniors Helping Seniors® has grown to include hundreds of locations in the US and Internationally. We continue to grow and evolve, adding new services to better assist seniors and refining our caregiver training as new industry best practices come to light.

To keep pace with a rapidly growing senior population, we’re actively seeking Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise partners in open markets.
